- #6 Ivan Provorov - In my viewings of Provorov I've seen a defenceman who out thinks every player on the ice. He's a unique skater with great puck handling ability. IQ is off the charts.
- #7 Lawson Crouse - Crouse is viewed differently by a lot of scouts. In my opinion, he brings a lot to the table. He's big, mean, and plays smart. Realistically, he should go anywhere from 3 to 7, the only thing that may worry teams is the history of drafting power forwards in the first round (i.e. Kyle Beach, Zack Kassian).
- #8 Mikko Rantanen will be joining Finland at the World Championships and will likely see his stock rise because of it.
- #9 Zach Werenski has risen and fallen all season. He's very strong in the offensive zone and getting picks up ice, but has shown his defensive zone positioning needs some work.
- #10 Matthew Barzal - After an injury early in the season, Barzal fell in many rankings. When he's healthy, he's an offensive beast. Mathew's passing ability and vision are something to marvel at, and at the next level he will be a top six playmaker.
- #11 Pavel Zacha - Like Werenski and Barzal, Zacha has seen his name anywhere from fourth to fortieth. Zacha is a very talented player who doesn't shy away from using his body. Will undoubtedly be a top 15 pick.
