# 4 Mitch Marner vs. #5 Dylan Strome has been hotly debated throughout the course of the season. In my opinion, Marner is far too dynamic of a player, and though it's very possible Strome goes ahead of Marner, I believe Marner is the more valuable player in the long term. That being said, Strome is an excellent player and has the potential to be a number one center in the NHL.

#3 Noah Hanifin has the potential to be a franchise altering defenceman, who's future success could be in the same realm as Doughty or Weber. There's risk associated with taking defenceman this early, but Hanifin has shown that he deserves to be in the conversation for the third overall pick.
#2 Jack Eichel, possibly the best consolation prize in NHL draft history, is sure to make a difference at the next level. He's a highly intelligent center who has proven he can play both ends of the ice. Many compare him to Ryan Getzlaf, however, like McDavid, he brings his own style to the NHL.
#1 Connor McDavid will change the fate of whichever team gets the privilege of selecting him.
